The Job


The Corporate Metal workshop within the NCOD, will provide a range of services to all City Council Departments including: Housing Maintenance, Traffic, Waste Management, Surface Water Management, Public Lighting & Electrical Services as well as all other Departments. The types of services currently undertaken in the metal workshops includes measuring, fabrication, welding including but not exclusive to MIG and Arc welding and fitting of steel units including the likes of: metal doors & windows, balcony panels, gates, metal stairs, fencing, handrails, cages, pins for compactor units, the manufacture of brackets for public lighting poles, restoration of heritage public lighting columns, repairing column doors and locking systems, brackets for life buoys, light guards and anti-vandal doors. They also typically carry out general steel fabrication repairs and part-assembly of cycle lane bollards, bus lane bollards and other traffic related work.


Salary: €1,612.20 - €1,853.92 per forthnight
